    Buran doesn’t need cosmonaut to fly and land. Lets see shuttle do that.

      Oh I thought that last letter was a “к” instead of “н” and I phonetically read “Barak” like Barack Obama.

    The Soviet space program was one of the biggest losses of the fall of the USSR, they had some legitimately fascinating technologies, and were ahead of the west in many regards.

      The meme is misused, the Buran program was newer, and in many ways more advanced than the Shuttle.

        That one is automated though, you wouldn’t need to leave Earth to use it. No astronaut training needed
