    You’ll google “inpatient mental health treatment near me,” realize none of the options your insurance covers are all that good and you can’t really afford to take that much time off work anyway, and close the window. (Assuming you’re American, and probably need to get your meds adjusted.)

      It’s very hard to get psychiatric help covered by insurance/healthcare in Europe too unfortunately.

      As for getting time off work, have you looked into FMLA? I’m unsure what goes into eligibility but if you qualify, your employer is required to allow up to 6 months leave each year for any short term disability including mental health and burnout.

      You might or might not get your full salary (assuming you are salaried) during this time, but it will keep your job secure as long as you document ongoing care with your employer’s disability provider.
