Why do you interpret it this way with the context of ‘solarpunk’ and the door on the left labelled as an obvious bad thing? In other words, implying they’re choosing not to contribute to extinction.
Granted, I do think it’s wishful thinking more than anything.
EDIT: I guess I can see it with the wording if you just consider the door on the right to be escapism, though I also think even with that interpretation it’s probably unrealistic to assume that they can even do much with our current trajectory (even if current emissions somehow stopped overnight).
So long as they’re doing the dishes and shitting the the composting toilet; fair enough.
If not though, everyone can always blame their parents and use that as an excuse for never actually evolving into something better.
