Every woman in my extended family is like this save for one of my aunts. The rest of them can’t understand why I and most of the guys in the family do not want to go shopping with for anything. To them grocery shopping is supposed to take up to two hours, a milk run at least 30 minutes and even just running in quick for a drink or quick lunch is a 20 in minute affair. My sister-in-law acts like it’s an act of black magic I can go to the store, get several bags of groceries and return in under an hour including the drive.
I will never understand how people can think standing around in lines or idly browsing items you have no interest or intention of buying is a good use of their time.

We never understood why one of the local convenience stores advertised this little arm bands that had a pouch built in roughly the size of a wallet. Then we learned the local uni had a big naked run enthusiast community and they regularly invited us you guys from the military base every year they did it.
Mostly people went barefoot but some had on slip ons. Vast majority of people had those arm bands though with an mp3 player or their phone shoved into the pouch, some girls wore sports bras, and some others had what I can only describe as a phanny pack across their middle. My group all wore the arm bands and camelbaks. Good times, would probably kill me to try that again.

Don’t have all the details myself but important to remember actors are paid for more than what they do on set. There is still plenty of prep work as well as promotional material and rights for using their image for advertising and merchandising. Even if his screen time was drastically reduced there probably was still plenty of demands for media appearances and other obligations in the contract that would consume as much if not more time and energy (which equally restricts or prevents the actor from seeking other competitive jobs while dedicated to one long term project.)
So while there may have been to grounds to reduce the offer of pay somewhat, cutting by over half while still largely expecting the same work role even when considering reduced screen time possibilities, it’s entirely justified for the actor to refuse the role.
