I agree… I have an unopened bottle of beer from 1975, just by looking at it I can tell that its “better with age” window is long gone. (Note the sediment buildup at the bottom)
Pouring gas over everything and lighting it by tossing a lit cigarette into the puddle. It does not work that way.
To be fair a lot of wells didn’t/don’t have good water either but we were not very good at testing or noticing that kind of thing until people started dropping.
You’re correct, but I just want to point out that it isn’t advisable to drink or cook with water that comes from your hot water tank. Hot water can (and usually will) corrode metal parts from your tank and plumbing and can be contaminated by all sorts of nasty stuff that won’t go away even if you boil the water first.

If you look it up on youtube, you can see for yourself the insane amount of crap that builds up inside a hot water tank over time. https://youtu.be/kAzKts6Wp1Q?si=UMPzHcIoSRdSgJ4g&t=88
In my case it’s because the last several owners of this house were idiots that cheaped out on everything and thought they knew better than the professionals do… my plumbing is a wonderful variety of crap soldered to different crap that I think was partially salvaged from the Titanic or something.
And since I’m renting, I have no ambition to rip anything out and fix it properly unless it breaks.
That’s my kitchen sink. Takes forever to get hot water but the bathroom (Which is further from the tank) takes half the time.
The joys of an old house.
Is that the legendary pee tape?
Taco Bell is usually involved.
Wouldn’t your drinks be warmer if kept in there?
Well… somethings gonna get wet.
I envy those that can just fall asleep whenever they want. It usually takes me an hour or more of laying there to finally bore myself enough to pass out.
I believe it was Denuvo that was the issue. The cracked version with denuvo stripped from it worked without a hiccup and ran smooth.
That’s far Cry 6 for me. Bought it off the epic site when it first came out and it didn’t work because of the drm. (Needed sse 4.3? which my old assed pc doesn’t have.)
Downloaded a cracked torrent, worked like a charm.

Years ago I was working construction on a house and a iron clamp (around 2 or three pounds) under tension with a chain snapped and flew towards me and hit me above the forehead hard enough it spun me ass over tea kettle off of a scaffold where I belly flopped onto concrete about 6 or 7 feet down. I woke up about ten minutes later with paramedics around me laying in a pool of blood. I was air lifted by helicopter to the city around 80 miles away.
I still have a nice 2 inch scar on my head from where it hit, but thankfully I have a nice thick skull and I didn’t get any brian dabblage :)
Recent story but not me. A friend of mine just had his car stolen two days ago. He was going to bed around midnight and heard something outside, so he looked out the window just in time to see his vehicle rounding the corner on the street.
He phoned the RCMP who managed to catch the guy a few miles down the road. The thief had ripped the Sirius radio out of the vehicle but otherwise there didn’t seem to be any damage. My friend and his mom had picked up the vehicle the next morning and was driving home when they heard a loud “pop” and the vehicle caught fire, burning to the ground. (My guess is when the guy ripped out the radio some wires got damaged and shorted out.)
So now he’s scrambling to find a new set of wheels that he can’t really afford to do because he needs it to get back and forth from work which is 16 miles one way. He will eventually get some insurance money for the vehicle, but who knows how much, and that probably won’t be for a little while. In the meantime he’s kind of up the creek without a paddle.
“Oh, and by the way would you mind corkscrewing grampa over there?”
Ya it’s not a good look of things to come, but so far it’s not a huge issue (yet).
I appreciate the effort made, although convertibles are not very comfy in a snowstorm.
