I feel a little cramped for space with 4 monitors these days. 6 is actually my preferred setup, but I don’t have the desk space for it.
Or possibly a window?
Twitter was a vapid load of crap before Elmo took it over. I see this as a win if it knocks him down a peg or 44 billion.
It was less about the .99 pricing and more about “Sale” pricing and ‘coupons’. Retailers will put a pair of pants on “Sale” for 50% off 51 weeks out of the year and people think they’re getting a great deal whereas when it’s not half off, they just don’t buy.
Seriously, older than the internet.
So, a subscription with extra steps? Or is the problem that you just can’t find any trustworthy sites?
This is a really interesting little project, but there’s no background info available. Making this be a plugin for that ‘other’ site that most of us left would be great. I still surf there once in a while but no longer comment due to their policy changes.
It’s nigh impossible to get many users to read past the headline. A summary is what 98% of people would actually want (and a good news story really is just a summary anyway) so the pay-through-rate would be so close to zero that I can’t see this model working.
That’s easy to say, but when it comes to finding my credit card to type in my info for yet another news website, I can guarantee that I just don’t give enough fucks about any individual news story.
Mine tried a bunch of different pumps but none would fix her medical issue. She tried SO hard and long for naught.
My wife tried desperately with both of our kids. There’s no way she could due to malformed glands. Multiple specialists confirmed that we had no choice but to feed formula almost exclusively. To this day she has guilt over something that she had no control over.
The formula shortage was one of the scariest parts of my entire life. Some babies don’t take well to certain formulas, and we had to switch them up a couple times, which meant lots of infants with upset stomachs. Nobody got any sleep for months until the FDA started allowing foreign formula into the country. Thankfully we are past formula and onto real food. I remember going to multiple stores where they were all out of the formula that my premature son could eat and the feeling of utter desperation.
No. Not even close to OK. There are examples of light in the darkness, such as Tim Walz (Kamala Harris’ running mate) who as the governor of Minnesota enacted a law to make school lunches free for all. Kids don’t get to decide who they are born to, and hungry kids don’t learn nearly as well as fed kids. Educated kids help our future, so it’s an extremely high ROI.
They took spinach off of their offerings when there was a listeria (or some such) scare with one of their suppliers. After a few months of going there I asked a ‘manager’ if they would ever get it back and they kind of just shrugged. I walked out a couple times after that and went down the strip-mall to another place a few times, hopefully to prove a point (moved offices so I’ve not really been back to Subway in years now).
I’m guessing that you are not from America. I’m fairly certain that you can fail out of being a police officer because you’re too intelligent.
Are you expecting that the for-profit college will go back and retroactively rescind degrees? What’s the end-game for re-running the thesis?

This is like those horrible choice “would you rather” questions. Eat the hot dog, or drink the alcohol.
If you want more coastline, all you have to do is measure with more accuracy.
