I was just about to point out that the map is missing a small “yinz” enclave around Pittsburgh/Johnstown

That’s a risky thing to wish for. Could be awesome! Could be an unwatchable green screen nightmare.
I would absolutely have a blast being a full time stay-at-home Dad. We would hit every Park, library, zoo, and aquarium within a days drive.
Then during the summer, I’d pass their kids to their grandparents house so my wife and I could find a place to SCUBA for 2 weeks straight.
Have you ever played on boardgamearena? It’s a website where you can join a bunch of board games with people around the world. When it’s your turn, you have a certain number of hours or days to make your move (kinda like old timey chess by mail) and then go back to your life. You can be in many games at a time.
I’m aware of all the dissatisfaction with DST, but hear me out… What if we just weren’t going hard enough? I propose Runners Savings Time. We set the clock forward like, 4-5 hrs. It’ll be dark during working hours, but then you’ll have some time to go for a run or do whatever during the daylight.
Around 2010ish I was thoroughly enjoying some Bells Two Hearted and other IPAs. My brother (2 years older) tried arguing that bud light is man’s beer, and my beers were fruity and girly. It certainly doesn’t matter to me, but the irony of choosing bud light, out of all the macro beers, is just 👨🍳😘>
😳😳 Hey, I’m a cishet man but thinking about joining jean-luc for some tea, earl grey, hot, really gives me the vapors.
Lol, Hilarious and justified but I get quite compliant around people who could stand between me and a SCUBA/ bachelor party trip.
Not exactly. I’m kind of a “learn what I need to to get by” person. I’m not really a Linux person… but my old laptop took 15 minutes to boot up, and the hardware obsoleted out of windows updates, so now I have Linux.
I ran out of space in Google Photos. I would’ve happily bought more space but they told me I’d have free backup space forever if I compressed my photos. When they changed that policy I realized I was being jerked around. So then I got a raspberry pi, and learned how to (barely) set up a server to run Immich.
I liked browsing reddit, but, again, I don’t like being jerked around, so here I am.
I learned this about United this summer. Except the language they used didn’t specifically rule out roller bags, it called them “full-sized carryon”. I showed up with a checked bag and a small carryon. The desk agent told me wheels make it a “full-sized” regardless of the dimensions. Fortunately, I was able to stuff a bunch of stuff a bunch of my crap into my checked SCUBA bag, and repack my regs and underwear into the backpack I was bringing anyways.
Note: This was on an International flight so I REALLY didn’t appreciate feeling like I was flying on a budget airline.
…As was the fashion of the time.
The grandmother (my Mom) is probably the 2nd most tech-savy person in the chat. She has dug in on this on my sister’s side. It’s not a huge deal. I’ve accepted that I just need to wait till the defaults change. Any video I really care about I make her send straight to my wife.
I had never heard of that, but I love how part of their sales pitch is the negative review from Fox News.
I’m not OP but I might as well be. My family has a group chat that exists almost exclusively to send pics/videos of the kids to each other. It’s a mixed group of android/iOS, so the videos come through with 12 pixels. I have begged and pleaded for every key to switch to telegram, GroupMe, Gchat, Facebook… ANYTHING!!
But they’re all on iPhone because they specifically don’t want to be tweaking or customizing anything in their phones.
You should keep a boomerang next to your kites. Then if it’s windy, fly a kite, and if it’s not, throw a boomerang!
Time. My wife is a school teacher and I’m an engineer at a place that shuts down from Christmas through new years. I absolutely love having no schedule and just waking up every day with the kids and figuring out who were going to see and how were going to spend our time. It’s an absolute luxury and I love it so much.
