I have no idea how the Fediverse works. I use Sync just like I did for Reddit because it’s simple. Is there anything I can do to help?
You can donate to the devs https://join-lemmy.org/donate
Donate to devs. Donate to your instance. Post. Comment. Be active.
Post cat pictures.
What if I don’t have a cat?
Generate the pictures with artificial neutral nets
Post dog pictures
Keep posting
You’re never gonna believe this, but I don’t have a dog either.
All I got right now is this box of one dozen starving crazed weasels.
Time to pay the cat tax
Tell your friends about it, especially the ones who use reddit
Besides donating, being active Lemmy user and creating content helps the platform thrive.
replaying to comments also helps
I’m helping!
But then how can I maintain a lurking status?
Two accounts
Now look at what you’ve done!
Shitposting makes lemmy float to the top of the toilet bowl!
The lead lemmy devs are struggling with funding - https://join-lemmy.org/donate
Sync isn’t well updated / supported and I’d recommend moving to another client. I was a long time sync user so I found it hard, but I personally settled on Thunder https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hjiangsu.thunder&hl=en_CA
Thanks, I had to research to even notice anything was wrong.
I’m using Summit as a replacement for Sync
Jebora is pretty damn good too
- use smaller instances besides lemmy.world, this will increase decentralization
- donate to your instance hosts and important devs in the field
- be active and post high value content
