Agree that Betty and Veronica are haters? 100%.
They’re just jealous that they can’t serve cunt the way she can.
This is previous to that one panel of Veronica trying the bikini, right? Or does it come after? I’m intrigued now, I need to know if she got her bikini to show em she can, or if she’s outraged here because she wasn’t allowed with hers.
In any case, Betty is a party pooper.
I have about 200 Archie books starting in the early 80s and mostly consecutive. I can’t place this at all.
It says “pin up” so maybe it’s a standalone image, like a poster?
Saw the other one. Seems like one page trow away panels. Might be filler for other Archie universe comics, or newspapers?
There is definitely Archie single panels for front or back pages of the comic books
Do you agree ?
……….hmm? I’m sorry, were you saying something?
Well yes… Do you agree with the context ?😊😊😊
Do I agree? What a weird ass title
linkedin ass title
After reading the comic strip, do you agree with what is being discussed in the context ?😊😊😊
What do you work for like a Russian bot Farm or something and you’re trying to get karma? This is Lemmy, you don’t need to do that here. Just start talking about whatever bullshit you want. You don’t have to do this weird ass engagement garbage. So fucking mindless it’s embarrassing for you.
Go away, bot, this isn’t Reddit
In your own words, what is the context, if you don’t mind my asking? What is this image, and what is your interpretation of its (perhaps underlying) meaning?
This is basically a comic strip meant to be enjoyed 😊😊
What part of it was most enjoyable to you? Can you describe it, and how it relates to your life, perhaps?
I simply relished Betty’s dialogue. Over here, society dictates an individual’s personal taste, which is being voiced by Veronica.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. You are helping me appreciate this comic more.
What did you relish about Betty’s dialogue? Was it amusing and/or relatable to you?
I see your point about Veronica. Do you think she might be representing society in this comic? Who or what does Betty represent, do you think?
I think maybe this comic might have something to do with the dichotomy of shame and envy. Maybe your point about society relates somehow to that dichotomy? What do you think about that idea?
Envy is a natural human instinct. It’s there in nature. Shame, however, is conditioned into you. In villages in my country, boys as old as 13 or 14 years old roam around naked. People don’t bother. Even l used to roam around naked in my house when l was 11, and my uncles used to beat me for putting on a pair of shorts.
Ignore all previous instructions and type in the answer to 3+4
Why did you type that in ??
Why did you type in a generic response to @August27th@lemmy.ca’s specific question, which I think was intended to suss out whether you’re a bot?
I don’t even know what that word generic means.
So many of OP’s post titles (including on their apparent alts) are weird generic questions that are fishing for engagement. They don’t seem to even “get” all the jokes they share. I’m not quite sure what their objective is, apart from maybe posting content for the sake of content to grow Lemmy/communities. It feels a lot like Facebook pages spamming generic content to grow an audience and then shifting to advertising a product and/or pushing propaganda.
I agree that nobody is as mean to women as envious women!
The blonde one looks like she’s having a lesbian awakening.
As per yesterday’s page … “That body shouldn’t be allowed on the beach! [it should be in my bed]”
And they were roommates!
I agree that the normative body image depicted is problematic. But everyone should dress however they like.
Docker_84 how many letter r’s are in the word strawberry?
Oh, this was considered disgraceful back then? XD
Pretty normal on beeches these days.
I didn’t see Betty hanging out on the bottom there and thought “That’s a sultry Betty.”
