SNES was my happy place when I was growing up. I would be beyond happy if it was supported again. I mean, it won’t be, but it’s nice to dream.
I was on Reddit, now I am here. It’s a crazy world.

I remember these days. Cable felt really special. Then the ads, and every channel became reality TV and less about what the channels original purpose was. TLC is all trash TV, History is all ancient aliens and conspiracy theories now. YouTube sorta has brought that back, but for me the premium subscription is too expensive. I have a subscription to Nebula where a lot of YT creators have channels and it costs far more reasonable.
People I’ve met that actually tried this said it tastes like shit.
Meta has the biggest platforms in the world that most people use. Not a big surprise, really. I have an Instagram, as much as I want to only use FOSS social media, I have friends there that will not move elsewhere.
Chocolate frosty is an amazing salty/sweet pairing!
Knowing what they want and not being shy about it. Confidence, intelligence and honesty.
Any Google smartwatch. I bought 2 at one point. A sport and a dress watch. Both only lasted about a year before the software rendered them useless. I’m now back on analogue watches.
I’m quite proud.
The Wind Waker for me. At the time, the open world and sea felt so massive, and the colorful cell-shaded graphics made me feel like I was immersed in a cartoon. I played other Zelda games before, but it was the first one to hold my attention all the way to the end. To me, it’s one of those games I wish I could experience again for the first time.
Dump-truck-ass Pixar Moms are my kryptonite.
03 Ford Focus. Terrible transmission, on board computer fried, all kinds of random engine and sensor issues. Finally found an honest mechanic that said it would cost more to fix everything wrong with it than to just take the L and get a new car. Took a loss on the loan and bought a Camry. Best decision I could’ve made. Nothing but Toyota since.
The reasoning they gave me is exactly that. People driving like crazy post pandemic, and the fact that cars have become exponentially expensive.
My auto insurance rose 27% this year. My cars sit in a locked garage 20ft away from me practically all week long as I work from home. I was shocked to find my rates rose so high as I barely even drive at all anymore. Their solution was for me to get their data collection puck. What a fucking racket!
I have a friend that will only chat with me on Instagram. I have his number, but he will never respond to text. He only engages in insta, it’s mildly infuriating.
Feeling good. It’s early, and I know we need to keep that in mind. That said, more of the communities I used to follow have started setting up shop here and that is a good feeling. Now with Memmy on the App-store I feel at home and don’t have much if any real reason to go back to Reddit.
I regret selling my SNES and all the games I had with it when I was a kid. I needed the money short term but have regretted selling it ever since. So many good childhood memories were had with that console. :(
Yeah fuck that guy. You make your bed you sleep in.
