Anything from Ubisoft
I got the game from some magazine, in a time I didn’t have many choices for games. I didn’t speak much English yet at the time so I had trouble getting past some stuff and didn’t get very far. I even named my first dog after the robot dog in the game.
I picked it up on steam a few years ago and tried it again. I think I got much farther than I had back in the day, but still didn’t finish it. I think I might try it again on deck now.
Sir, there’s something wrong here. I spent 20 years believing I was the only person who ever played Septerra Core, and it’s too long to change my mind now.
Portuguese, we do and we use it in everything. Even something simple like “for my Father” most of us say “for the my Father”.
“Sou filho do meu pai”
Translating literally becomes:
“am son of the my Father”
Autistic people will often do the right thing simply because they were taught it is what they are supposed to do - with no consideration of how they’ll feel about it.
And ADHD people don’t get to feel good about anything they do.
Combine the two and you get the ultimate altruists!
(this comment is meant as a joke)
You probably have different gaming habits than me, or a hell of a memory. I’ve likely played over 4 thousand different games over the course of my life so far.
… Now I want to use one of those tools to try to figure out this number.
Bottoms.
The script feels terrible and they don’t even try to make you like the characters. But the jokes always land perfectly. It’s a great movie to have a laugh and nothing else.
That’s pretty cool, great job!
Usually none. I only have an inner monologue when I explicitly want to have one and in that case it works just like talking: I can use any language I want.
Dropped Ubuntu because of snaps.
Dropped Manjaro because updating anything on it was too annoying and potentially destructive if you didn’t read through every changelog.
Currently on bluefin because everything is working smoothly on it. Also have a Bazzite setup which I’m not as happy with as I am with bluefin but not to the point of thinking of dropping it.
Not cried, but Trevor Moore’s death shook me as that was the first time someone I enjoyed the work of died while I was still expecting to see more work from them in the future.
Oh yeah I played Elden Ring too. Avowed I tried but didn’t like; the other two really aren’t my type of game.
Where did he expect to keep the tech devices while naked?
Any such experiences in the last few years? I think the last AAA games I’ve played where RDR2 and Spider Man.
Not this time, but I do have another story many years later when I stepped on a sickle and cut my toe, then after getting bandages I resumed what I was doing and stepped on it again, on the same toe. But the second time didn’t leave any cut.
As a kid (+/- 7yo) I saw a huge ass nail hanging out from some broken piece of wood laying in the school yard and thought: “I’ll make a hole in my slipper”, so I hovered my foot over the nail, but that didn’t do it. “Oh I need to put pressure on it”.
In my head I thought I was making an arch with my foot so that I would only put weight on the front and back of the slipper and the nail wouldn’t hit me. Only in my head.
So I stepped on the nail, injuring myself. I then went to an adult. After patching my foot they asked me to go find the nail and throw it in the trash, before anyone else steps on it too.
The piece of wood was too big for me to handle, so I thought: “nobody is gonna be stupid enough to step on that” and left it there.
This feels like something that an infinite number of monkeys with typewriters would write.
I’ve worked on FOSS stuff with very large user bases and seen very obvious flaws go unnoticed for several years, so I guess most people don’t.
Guns getting sucked into MRI machines is a recurring news story at this point.
I forget what I went to the store for so I browse every aisle until I see something that makes me remember it (usually the thing itself).
