Hell I straight up told Amazon I’m watching a series without ads and without paying the upgrade while filling my complaint. Explained it took me less time to get than it took to wait on customer service to complain to. Explained why Napster was a thing.

I know they don’t care but you know.

If they really want to end piracy, they could. There are so many things that can’t be pirated

Fun fact: Piracy is still supporting the film industry. We see movies, talk about it, free publicy, reviews etc.

Apparently in the industry they consider the value of a pirated movie about 1/4 that of a paid one.

Some programs etc would pretty much die without piracy like the Adobe suite

When the biggest German piracy streaming page was shut down more than a decade ago, rumors have it that the film industry suffered enormously

Can confirm, work in the industry - we don’t care. The only reason there’s anti-piracy stuff out there is because the FBI pressured studios in the 90s to help stop brown people from bootlegging VHSs then later DVDs.
