i’ll get a cash bonus once the probationary period is up at my new job, which i can use to knock like 10% off of the cost of my mortgage.
a friend of mine is getting bottom surgery and i’m looking forward to it for them, it’s nice that people around me are happy.
also, dunno if it’s something to look forward to exactly but if it turns out i do have hypertension and i can get on exforge i may not only be rid of my chronic headaches but also figure out if i actually have adhd, since amlodipine apparently lessens the symptoms. it would be nice to be able to do things.
It’s my 25th birthday on the 25th of this month, and I’m really looking forward to it. My boss is amazing - he always throws me a lavish party and gets me awesome gifts. While my official title is Personal Assistant, the position is actually more of a companionship role.
I would love to hear more about your job, without any dangerous details of course.
Sure. Just ask your questions and I’ll answer.
Can you define what “companionship” entails?
Eating with him, travelling with him, going out with him, hanging out with him, sex, etc. I’m live-in, so all the companionship a man needs. Technically a de facto personal assistant does a lot of work related stuff, but I don’t really, he has other people for that. Which is why the only “requirements” for this job were good looks and good personality. No previous work experience or higher education required. An acquaintance linked me up when I was 20.
I don’t mean this in a demeaning way, but isn’t that just an escort + prostitution?
You’re getting paid for company is one, getting paid for sex is two.
Personally, I don’t see it that way, because I’m not getting paid for sex. I’m getting paid for company - which is a whole thing on its own - just so happens it also includes sex.
What you listed is what escorts do, minus the sex. Hence why I combined the two professions.
Do you have a partner? If so, how does your work influence your private life?
Fascinating. Is there a large age gap? My daughter thought about pursuing this with a guy a couple years ago, but she wanted to get out of sex work so that was a no-go.
Do you enjoy the work, and is it considered “work” on both sides, as in no expectation of romantic intimacy?
Yeah. I enjoy it. It’s work on both sides. This guy is very pragmatic which is why he wants this kind of arrangement in the first place. No nonsense, no waste of time (aka dating). Just a guaranteed good time. That’s his philosophy.
That’s a great way to look at it. Are there any provisions for severance if there comes a time where that arrangement needs to be terminated?
I also want you to know that in no way am I judging what you do for work, to me it’s just work, but I know a lot of people would have different opinions.
that’s a good combination, happy birthday
personally, I’ll restarting myself to focus into more serious programming and get a job
I still fresh graduated, but I feel I still lack from programming basics to advance me to get a job in technology sector. second, for some reasons, I considering to move to somewhere first, and working on there.
hopefully, everything will be done in next 6 months, insha Allah
Part of my 2025 mental and physical health plan has been building and landscaping my little slice of land to go from an unfenced hillside of lawn to a walled and terraced garden.
Removed the sod and got a dumptruck load of granite stones at the start of the year. I am building using a dry stone technique and moving it all by hand on purpose. Currently finishing the main terraces and wall base, beginning raised garden beds now. Every day I move a couple stones into place and it feels like an accomplishment that is quite literally building on itself.
I look forward to seeing how it (continues to) come together.
I did a similar project a few years ago with stones, old logs and repurposed rebar. It was sooo rewarding, especially after the plants matured.
Trump heart attack
We can only hope
Season finale
Graduating highschool (hopefully)
You can do it!
Nothing, absolutely nothing. Life is very hopeless for me right now.
hey stranger, hoping things will be better for you soon
Me too.
Does it count if it’s a hope and not a fact? If so, then I’ll be looking forward to changing jobs. If I’m changing to another customer service job then I want something less fast paced, hopefully selling something I actually care about. But, ideally I’d love to get a job in the vfx industry again. I’ve been looking for years.
If it’s a fact only, well, my birthday I guess? Which I’m also simultaneously not looking forward to.
Good luck on the job hunt. I hope you manage to find something in vfx.
I’m going to get my commercial drone license and start doing freelance work to supplement my main job that doesn’t pay too well. Very excited.
I’m hoping to move back to the town where my friends and family live. I’ve been in my current place for a few years, and it’s fine, but I feel like my life is on hold.
I’m kind of looking forward to my kids getting a little more mature. Parenting lil kids is not what I’m cut out for. But it’s bittersweet - that gets them closer to moving out and starting their lives without me.
Feeling like your life is on hold is such an interesting and familiar feeling. Years can go by this way. Good luck! I hope it happens soon.
Hanging with my family and my partner’s family for a few weeks.
Well since I just discovered a close friend In a couple of weeks is already going out with the girl I liked for 2 years …( Yes he knew) and since I have so much time to my disposal while watching an empty residential pool at the young age of 23, I’m planning to feel like shit for the next 6 months :)
That sucks about your friend. Did you ever ask that girl out on a date or anything? Two years is a long time, I hope you had made a move at some point.
Yeh kinda I think she was not interested but never said it straight like that … Always busy and stuff like that… I was seeing her at work so some chat here and there nothing too deep …
the big string of seattle pride events at the end of the month :3 i always make so many new friends and have such a blast!!!
Quitting my job for the end the year, a job that is making depressed and tired.
Opening my own business with blackjack and hookers (for real tho, opening a shop in my city).
My month vacation in Japan.
