They absolutely do not. The only reason it’s celebrated over there is because “It’s an American thing, don’t you wanna do the trendy American thing?”

No joke, they eat KFC for Christmas because KFC was doing poorly in Japan, but they realized it was considered “trendy” and “cool” to do “The American Thing”, so they just gaslight everyone into thinking KFC is a Christmas Tradition in America, and somehow they still believe that.

Do they actually try to run with the idea that the KFC on Christmas thing is how it’s celebrated outsideof Japan as well? I just assumed that they’d kind of formed their own tradition that’s less formal and less associated with home cooking since it’s not a real holiday and just a kind of for fun thing.

I believe US doesn’t understand christmas, what’s with the bastardized SAiNT(a) niCoLAUS, dressed in Coca Cola costume, instead of the baby jesus celebration. Eh, anyway, as a frugal agnostic, I don’t care either way.

I mean, it’s all based on he said she said nonsense the further back you dig anyways. The only difference today is that corporations hijacked the public consciousness to perpetuate consumerism, instead of it being cave dwelling Jews or delusional Roman oracles with an affinity for pharmacological ‘substances’.

Jesus wasn’t even born in December lol. Early Christians stole the winter solstice festivities from Pagans, because that’s how cults work - they leach off of other cultures, then either twist or outright re-write those traditions, allegorical stories, and legends to benefit their narratives.

meh. Christianity hijacked Pagan Winter Solstice traditions and some historians even think Jesus was actually born around September. The bible flat out forbids Christmas trees(Jeremiah 10:1-4).

        Jeremiah 10

That’s about idols. When he’s saying do not fear or respect them because all they are is wood a man cut out of the forest and dressed with silver and gold, he’s saying the idols are mundane. They’re powerless creations made by man that cannot walk around without a man walking them around.

Even though the myth is quite prevalent, the red and white color scheme for Santa is not related to Coca-Cola.

A massive amount of this world’s plastic waste is related to Coca-Cola, though.
