    "Oh no, a bad word!

Better cross it out so no-one thinks I’m using bad words.

But not all the way, so everyone still knows what the bad word is but also recognises my attempt to save them from seeing a bad word!

I’m such a good person (but also cool 😎)!"

Apparently the reason people started doing this was because the algorithms would recognize the word and demote them on other sites, but a simple strike through or messy crossout would not get the same treatment. If it’s dumb but it works, it’s not dumb?

Learn algospeek is humans already getting twisted by pretzels.

That said we should have a better way to deal with racial slurs than ostracization.

Because I might have never died before but I used to be a kid and we loved all the no no words. That means probably todays kids are hyperaware of them and I can’t think of a better way to perpetuate racist thoughts than to teach their words to all the kids via reverse psychology.

Guess what I’m saying is that I rather the kids learn slurs in a safe space than behind the neighbour’s shed and come back preganement with brain racism !

I know someone who died twice. Well, I used to know them, the second time was lethal. First time they managed to survive though, with the help of a hospital full of doctors

Three men walk into a bar on a Tuesday at 1pm. A Welshman, an American, and a Japanese man. They all had severe alchoholism, and would lead very depressing lives with their failing livers over their 40s.

LSD is toxic, but the LD50 is so high that is doesn’t pose a risk. They estimate a lethal dose to be 100mg, or like 200x an excellent dose of acid.

According to the lab reports it is like a panic attack with fatal tachycardia and hallucinations that encompass your fleeting existence.

sounds about right. I don’t like acid personally but I dabble in shrooms once in a blue moon. last year I accidentally took a way stronger dose than I ever had and there was about an hour of feeling something like this,

panic attack with fatal tachycardia and hallucinations that encompass your fleeting existence

except I didn’t die of course and once the terror wore off I had a good time. the dose I took was high for me but for a real afficianado it was probably a small one.

I know someone who died twice. He came back and he looked different and didn’t remember me. He had the same name though so I’m pretty sure he just forgot he’d died

I hate group chats. I engage with people one on one - I can understand one, maybe two persons…

But people? Fuck that. Persons are complex, people are insane
